Hides: All leather is carefully selected to meet Cobra Gunskin Classics' exacting standards. Each piece is made from flawless, untouched, natural full-grain cowhide.
Molding: A perfect gun-to-holster fit can only be achieved by carefully moistening the leather in a high temperature organic solution, followed by insertion of the specific model handgun into the holster. Skilled Craftsman carefully hand fit and form the exact contours of the gun into the leather with custom designed tools.
Lining: Silicone-impregnated suede is available for lining on any Cobra Gunskin Classic model. Dual-purpose silicone suede retards wear by providing a smooth, frictionless draw and inhibits gun oxidation or rusting by preventing any moisture from forming inside the leather.
Stitching: The original sewing machines used for saddle stitching decades ago by expert craftsman are used by Cobra Gunskin Classics today to achieve the strongest lock-stitch construction possible. Cobra Gunskin Classics’ heavy duty 6-cord nylon thread gives the great strength and durability required to meet the our personal standards of excellence.
Flat Back: Cobra Gunskin Classics present the "Flat Back" so that your own skin stays smooth too.
Cobra Gunskin Classics takes great pride in achieving this spectacularly flat and smooth back. It takes our Craftsman a good deal of extra time in order to achieve this unique "Flat Back" design for your comfort. It is almost like having a second skin.
‘Stay Smooth and Stay Sharp’ is our motto. Focus on your target is best achieved when you don't have to block out irritating skin roughness. That is why we designed the "Flat Back" especially for you as though we were wearing it ourselves.
Finish: Rich custom blended oils provide warm, earthy tones and deep moisture protection to our leather. Black items are vat-dyed by Cobra Gunskin Classics to permit deep penetration and even coverage. All finishes are hand rubbed to a smooth finish before glazing.
Cobra-Glaze: Cobra Gunskin Classics has gone over the top by developing the “Cobra Glaze” to protect all oiled or vat-dyed leathers from the elements and abrasion. A rich and lustrous sheen combined with vividly durable colors is just one of Cobra Gunskin's Hallmarks.
